About
Welcome to Mami's Latin Style Rotisserie Chicken, a hidden gem nestled in Raleigh, North Carolina, where culinary passion meets authentic Latin flavors. Located at 2401 Wake Forest Rd, this cozy eatery specializes in serving mouthwatering, hormone-free rotisserie chicken that’s been marinated to perfection and roasted in traditional Peruvian charcoal ovens. These ovens not only add a distinctive smoky flavor to each bird but also ensure that the chicken remains juicy and succulent, even when reheated. As you take your first bite, you will immediately understand what the buzz is about.
The star of the menu—the Quarter Chicken Combo—offers a delightful experience. Accompanied by two small sides, this combo is a perfect introduction to Mami's style of cooking. Diners rave about the taste, citing its rich flavor and tender texture. The combination of fresh, free-range chicken with the special marinade creates a tasteburst that transports you directly to a Latin kitchen.
But the experience doesn't end with the chicken. Guests are also treated to a variety of house-made sauces that elevate each dish. The popular cilantro vinaigrette will have you reaching for more, while the bold green sauce is for those who crave a bit of heat. There’s also options like ranch dressing and exquisite pico de gallo, all of which pair wonderfully with sides like buttery corn and perfectly cooked fried rice. And remember, don’t skip the famous Tres Leche Cake; it’s a sweet finish to an already splendid meal.
If you’re in the mood for something refreshing, you won’t be disappointed by the drinks menu. Try the Horchata, a creamy rice milk beverage flavored with cinnamon, or the housemade Chicha Morada, a unique Peruvian drink made from purple corn, pineapple, and spices—a perfect complement to the spices of the chicken.

“ First, the chicken is amazing! The cook it over charcoal in a rotisserie. It's juicy and delicious! All of the sides are good as well. Pretty sure it's the same family as alpacca if your a fan of that place. Oh the have daily specials as well, things like "chop chop" and nachos. They also have these great homemade sauces. I like to dip in both of them. Enjoy! ”
“ Please patronize this establishment! We have no idea why the line isn't out of the door!! The food is GREAT AND FRESH. We spend so much money, not because it's expensive, but because everything on the menu LOOKS AND TASTES SO GOOD! Please give these folks your business and let's keep this one around! A great place to have a lunch date/ meet up. Great location. Of course, a great place for dinner. Very healthy options. Let's bust the doors open! EVERYDAY! They deserve your business! And the prices are great! Don't neglect to get yourself a piece of Tres Leche Cake I've yet to regret it! AND the Tostones! And I love both the yellow and green sauces (even though the green sauce is not for the faint of heart! ) OMG AND the CILANTRO VINAIGRETTE! I wonder do they have that bottled..? I definitely want to get some to go (I just don't make salads much...) But if I did! That's my dressing of choice! ”
“ Such cute spot the chicken is spot on. Just we were waiting in the line hoping this will taste better than Costco rotisserie chicken and it sure does. Taste way better very flavorful very tender inside you can feel the fire roasted the chicken skin but kept all the juice. God damn it was good. The staff was really helpful. Besides the chicken I wanted try something else but don’t know what to choose the cashier helped me choose the fried rice. It’s very good too. Will come back ”
“ It's been a few years since my last visit, but now I remember why this used to be THE SPOT. To start, the horchata is AMAZING and freshly made. The corn is super buttery and delicious. We enjoyed everything we ordered, but what we enjoyed most were the sauces!!! Sorry, alpaca, but we found a new favorite. ”
“ Mami's Chicken is hands-down the best in Raleigh. The secret? Their incredible oven. Yesterday, I was granted special access to see it in action—and it did not disappoint. Watching the chicken spin as the juices dripped and the rich aroma of spices filled the air made it impossible not to order another one to take home. That's what sets Mami's apart: even the next day, after reheating, the chicken stays juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The zesty sauce, perfectly cooked rice, and the best coleslaw I've ever had complete the experience. Mami's isn't just a meal—it's a moment you’ll want to savor again and again. ”
“ Rice and black beans with fried tostones was so good! And the price point is great value compare to other places. The chicken was solid too. Would definitely come back just for the tostones. They were large, crunch, and flavorful!!! ”
“ The food was top notch, the chicken was juicy yet nicely smoked, the chaufa was flavorful and not greasy, yucca fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The building itself is a bit old but really charming, the air was filled with lots of delicious aroma. The price was comparable with other Peruvian chicken places, yet the value of what you get far exceeded the pricing. ”
“ Delicious chicken spot with friendly service. We stopped by on a Friday for lunch and got the daily special Jerk Chicken. Super flavorful and tender. Tasty roasted plantains too. Prices are great as well. ”
